Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:
To execute the project activities related to project progress monitoring and reporting through conducting periodic visits. As well as monitor the on-site progress and ensure that the clients are served properly as per  contractual obligations



Duties and Responsibilities:


Key Responsibilities:

Executive & Technical Responsibilities:

Prepare project Notice to proceed in coordination with BDD and distribute to all concerned parties.
Assist the PM to prepare (PMP) project management plan to discuss it during planning workshop with project team, then produce final PMP and obtain management approvals
Prepare project WBS that identifies project scope defined in the project contract in coordination with PM and HOS for approval. And update in weekly basis to reflect project updates and progress of work.
Responsible for project contractual documentation both in soft and hardcopies as per archiving and filling procedure.
Prepare project budget using form (FO-BDD-PM-03) and prepare comparison sheet between budgeted hours and actual spent hours to be discussed through the technical coordination meetings..
In case of scope change, assist PM to prepare scope change notifications and provide with all supported documents to have DD approval, and prepare VOR as requested by DD. APM shall reflect approved changes and update the project WBS, budget accordingly.
Upon receiving client written approval on the submitted deliverables, prepare project invoices as per contract requirements.
Upon project closeout, APM shall send notifications to MBD to update projects library, website. And ensure financial and administrative closeout procedure have been applied as per closeout procedure.
Attend project meetings as follows:
a. Internal meetings: including management review meeting (KPI) , PM progress weekly meetings, project technical weekly meeting and meetings as requested by PM, APM shall prepare action log and send to all attendees
b. External meetings: attend external meetings with client, sub consultants, and other external parties if needed and as requested by PM
Act as PM during his absence after clear delegation from PM.


Job Specifications:

- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or a related field, PMP certification and any other relevant certifications are highly preferable   
- Minimum of five years of track-record in a related field.
- Proficiency level in using computer software related to the position.
